Is the CITI Program accessible for blind or visually impaired learners?

Last Updated: Jun 13, 2013 11:34AM EDT
The CITI Program website is accessible to blind and visually impaired learners who utilize screen reading software. The CITI Program text, modules, and quizzes have been tested using the Jaws, System Access, and Window Eyes. We have found through testing that the software is most easily accessible with Jaws.

Tips for using a screen reader :

  • Keep browser window in full screen mode.
  • For Window Eyes learners will need to access the MSAA application mode to register.
  • Learners using versions of Jaws pre version 10 will need to access the forms mode to fill out registration forms.

As per the ADA guidelines, CITI Program is accessible with screen reading software.
We do not provide the screen reading software. Please contact your employer, local rehabilitation office, or University computer lab for more information on obtaining screen reading software.

Testing was conducted by a Rehabilitation Teacher for the Blind with the Department of Social Service for the State of Missouri in January 2009.

Please contact Kim Foley at the CITI Program support desk for more information - (305) 243-7970.
